INFLUENCES
I was born in Kenya and spent my childhood surrounded by the richness of East African landscapes, flora and fauna. At the age of 11, I was the youngest-ever member of the Kenyan Orchid Society and became an active participant in the East African Natural History Society. This provided a rich seam of inspiration for my garden design work. I am a very keen amateur naturalist with an interest in botany and plant studies and I have traveled extensively to study the wild habitats of many of our garden plants.
The outdoor spaces that I create in London and around the country, have a strong design and landscape framework with detailed planting schemes to suit the brief. My intuitive responses to the garden space and the surroundings also guide the design process.
