Pine Grove

The landscaping of this large garden preceeds the rebuild of the house. Inspired by the clean lines of Renaissance Italian gardens, it has been composed using tones of green that are layered and tiered to create strong geometrical shapes and lines. There is predominantly green topiary utilising Holm Oak, Yew and Box with a large pre-existing ‘button’ of Holly as the centrepiece of the rear garden. Functional requirements included privacy from neighbours and opening up views to the rear. A manicured lawn covers the entire remaining ground plane.  It will grow and be clipped to within an inch of its beauty.
